David Jonathan is finally here!!!

Born at 1:46am this morning by c-section, at 3lbs 8.7oz and 16.25" long.

Smaller than we expected/hoped, but he seems to be doing very well. He is in the NICU currently, but the only special treatments he is getting is help staying warm, and fluids intravenously to help get his weight up. He is breathing well on his own, his heart rate is nice and steady, his color is excellent, and he is already proving he is going to be trouble to raise, according to the NICU staff.

Apparently, he doesn't cooperate very well...they had him completely tied down at one point because he had already decided he didn't need all the tubes and wires keeping tabs on him. Too bad my phone battery died or I would have gotten a picture.
