Sleep Deprived passengers of the Train:
So I hope everyone is having a better new year than I am. I'm not sure if you've heard yet but this past Saturday (Jan 2) I was in a pretty hefty skiing accident. I'm recovering at my folks house now, doing as best as can be expected. From what I understand, what happened was I was on the last run of the day (a fairly easy one at that), and this little kid darted out in front of me. So, rather than hurt this kid and plow him over, I veered off to the right and ended up in the trees.

Next thing I knew it was two days later and I was being transferred out of the ICU.

Anyway, I'll spare you all the gory details. The long and the short of it is that I made it out of the hospital and am slowly (but surely) recovering at my folks house.

Hopefully I'll start feeling well enough soon to log in (give me something to focus my mind on). Seeing as you guys are my friends though, I wanted to let you know why I've been mia and that it may be a tic before I get back online.

I'm not much of a skier, but I do know that speed + tree = OW!

Glad to hear that you ar ecovering well. Rowdie and I had just been talking about ya. Altho we were hoping that you were just having too much fun...

Oh Zula, I'm from Montana where skiing is huge, and I know what can happen...I'm so glad you're recovering! Those little kids are something else. I'm still on the beginner hills since I'm a late bloomer for skiing.

I missed you and thought perhaps the holidays with travel, family, or work were keeping you busy.

I almost had a little kid take my head off one day on the runs - laughing while he did it. I hear you, and I'm SO glad you're OK. And I'm glad I'm not visiting you in the ICU on Monday night
