I'll make the official announcement here. A few have already heard, but Tam is pregnant, so if all goes well we should be first-time parents around March 14.
If I'm not around in game as much, it'll probably be due to changing schedules and preparation for baby. I know we have a ways to go so hopefully I'll still see everyone on fairly regularly.
I know you've been waiting for this and how much you've wanted it and I am so glad that your prayers have been answered! Please send on our congratulations to Tam (I would say joy too but she's probably joy-capped).
Let us know as things develop (finding out baby's sex, picking out names, dealing with other crazy relatives, etc.)! Congratulations again!
Haven't really given an update in a while, so here goes.
Found out last Friday that it is going to be a boy. Name will be David Jonathan (no particular reason other than we like it).
He gave the ultrasound tech a hard time because he kept moving so much that it was hard for her to get good pictures for all the measurements she needed to make. Hope that isn't a sign for what's to come.
Awesome news...........if it makes you feel any better my youngest was very cooperative during ultrasound and he is a wild child......It is fun regardless.
Yep, it's a sign of times to come...my kids always reacted to the ultrasound. My daughter kicked the monitor around so the tech couldn't get a reading. My middle son would go into one of his kicking sessions during an ultrasound. He had them anyway--45 minutes straight about every two hours every single day. We didn't do ultrasound with our youngest.
I had to watch them from the time they were born. At a few months old, my middle son scared me because he pulled himself up to look over the edge of the cradle. I didn't think it was possible. That ended his time in the cradle.
Our house was full of commotion most of the time and only quiet between 11 PM and 6 AM...well, not always though.
We are pleased to announce the impending arrival of our baby boy, David Jonathan Thornton, due on March 14, 2010.To help us get ready for this special occasion, we would appreciate help with the items we have placed on his registry.
I do not expect anyone to get us anything, but we'd love any help we can get - particularly with the cloth diapers, as they are expensive up front, but cheaper in the long run.
I see 2 front packs and a back pack ... so it IS triplets, and the single naming was just to throw is off scent!
Now, is the jogger for you to take little David out during your 4 am run, or is it for Tam to get out of the house with David while you're heads-down during a weekly raid?
I'd also like to note that I WOULD have given David Winnie the Pooh but someone beat me to it. That is one of my all-time favorites, right up there with Muppet Treasure Island and the Happiest Millionaire!
LOL. There are only two front packs...the backpack is a diaper bag. We have the two front packs down so that we can have them in different places (parent's place and ours).
The jogger is for both...so I can take him out and about, and so Tam can get out of the house when she gets mad about me being in (yet another) raid.
And I have to agree Winnie-the-Pooh is great. I don't think I've seen the Happiest Millionaire though.
